About The Serpent’s Bridge (Book 1):Â
In a city shadowed by fear, a ruthless serial killer targets undocumented immigrants, exploiting their invisibility to evade justice. Detective Anaya Nazario faces a daunting challenge: solving a seemingly unsolvable case while battling bureaucratic obstacles and a relentless ticking clock. As she delves deeper into the investigation, Nazario discovers that the recent immigrant deaths may be connected to a haunting cold case: her own father's unsolved murder from 24 years ago.

About The Serpent Woman (Book 2):Â
Von Schlange, the Serpent Woman, is a relentless force of vengeance, hunting predators who hide behind wealth and power. With cold precision, she delivers justice where the system fails, leaving bodies—and messages—in her wake.
Detective Anaya Nazario and FBI Special Agent Blake Huxley are on her trail, but with Nazario carrying their first child, the stakes have never been higher. As the lines between law and justice blur, Nazario is forced to ask: is Von a murderer, or the reckoning the world needs?
One enforces the law. The other rewrites it. Their collision is inevitable.

About Twilight of the Serpent (Book 3):
When a decorated Army officer accuses his ex-wife of stalking him, no one doubts his word—until two cops turn up dead, shot with her weapon. Framed and on the run, Cheonsa Soo-Min flees to Brazil, where she’s taken in by Von Schlange, the vigilante the world thought was gone for good.
Von has traded revenge for a quiet life. But as Cheonsa’s story unravels, the truth points to a different kind of predator—one protected by rank, buried deep within military leadership.
Back in L.A., Detective Anaya Nazario is pulled from maternity leave to investigate the same officer deaths. What begins as a routine case quickly uncovers a far-reaching conspiracy—where justice is compromised, and the chain of command hides a killer.
As two timelines collide, justice becomes a razor’s edge.
And this time, Von isn’t just hunting.
She’s settling the score.
And this time, Von isn’t just hunting.
She’s settling the score.

About The Serpent’s Order (Book 4):Â
An assassin bound by obedience. A detective marked for death. A cartel war with no survivors. Von Schlange thought she’d escaped her past—but Black Nova owns her now, an off-the-books task force where failure means death. Unleashed on targets tied to Jaxon Ryker, a ruthless drug lord hidden in the Alaskan wilds, Von is paired with Xander Holt, a former Navy SEAL whose brutal code leaves no room for attachments. But as missions turn bloody, the fragile line between partners and lovers begins to blur—and desire becomes its own danger.
Across the country, Detective Anaya Nazario faces a nightmare tearing through Los Angeles: a synthetic “tranq dope,” deadlier than fentanyl and immune to Narcan. Her investigation exposes dirty cops protecting Ryker’s empire and paints a target on her back. Two women on opposite fronts. One war against corruption and cartel power. And a single truth remains—every betrayal leaves a body behind.

SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT DIRECTOR | BRAND STRATEGIST | CREATOR | BIPOC THRILLER AUTHOR
Hi, and welcome to my portfolio. I’m Sonyo Zofia Gray, and I also write fiction under the pen name S.Z. Estavillo.
I’m a content and social media leader with more than 10 years of experience developing and executing paid and organic strategies for B2B, B2C, and D2C brands. My work spans social media strategy, content development, copywriting, video production, paid media, influencer marketing, brand development, PR, and campaign execution. I specialize in taking content from concept through completion while making sure the creative work supports a larger business objective.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked both in-house and in fast-paced agency environments. As a social media strategist at an advertising agency, I developed and executed paid and organic strategies for 34+ automotive clients representing more than 100 individual social media profiles. My work included campaign strategy, content planning, social copy, graphics, short-form video, and AI-animated video content for automotive dealerships, as well as client-facing strategy decks, campaign analysis, and collaboration with key stakeholders.
Through my own digital marketing agency, I’ve managed paid and organic social for B2B, B2C, and D2C clients across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Threads, Pinterest, and BlueSky. For School Transportation News, I helped build its social presence across emerging platforms, growing its TikTok account from the ground up to more than 2,295 followers and its BlueSky audience to approximately 4,900 followers. I’ve also edited more than 300 podcast and social videos for the brand using CapCut and other editing tools, while producing and editing video content from national industry conferences and trade shows.
Previously, I led content and social media for Amberen, a national women’s health brand sold through major retailers including Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Costco, and Sam’s Club. My work included omnichannel content strategy, social media, paid campaigns, influencer outreach, PR, email, digital advertising, Amazon content, packaging, and brand messaging. During that time, our marketing efforts contributed to a 30% increase in sales, 65% growth in email signups, 80% growth in brand awareness, and significant social growth, as the company expanded toward its eventual $110 million acquisition.
Video is a major part of my work. I’ve directed, produced, and edited hundreds of short-form and long-form videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut, including podcast videos, social clips, marketing reels, interviews, conference and trade-show coverage, branded content, AI-animated videos, and documentary-style projects. I enjoy the entire process, from identifying the story and developing the concept to editing the final piece for the platform and audience it is meant to reach.
My background as a professional writer and editor is also a major part of how I approach marketing. I’ve written and edited hundreds of pieces across social media, digital advertising, websites, blogs, email campaigns, press releases, product pages, packaging, editorial content, and long-form storytelling. I’ve also critiqued and edited novel manuscripts for aspiring and published authors through Writing Day Workshops, which hosts nationwide virtual and in-person writing conferences. Through that work, I participated as an editor at numerous writing conferences and worked alongside Director Brian Klems, former columnist and editor for Writer’s Digest. I also taught a class on how writers can leverage social media to build their author platforms at the Los Angeles Writers Conference in May 2023, and later taught the same course for the North Texas Romance Writers in July 2024. Those experiences strengthened something I bring to every campaign: understanding how to find the story, hook an audience, and create content compelling enough to make people care.
And social media isn’t something I only understand professionally. I’ve built my own audience of more than 100,000 authentic followers across multiple platforms, giving me firsthand experience with audience development, platform behavior, community engagement, and the constantly changing way people consume content online.
When I’m not developing content, editing video, studying analytics, or spending entirely too much time on social media, I’m usually writing thrillers, reading, watching true crime, or looking for my next sushi fix.
